Vaccines have been the pillar of public health for many years, protecting individuals and communities against fatal infectious diseases. Vaccine reluctance and rejection have been driven by fast-spreading false ideas about their effectiveness and safety. This poses a serious threat to public health, as declining vaccination rates could lead to a rapid resurgence of diseases that vaccines can prevent.
