Hit 3 Vs Retro: Will Nani And Suriya Make A Mark In The Hindi Market And Prove Themselves As Pan-India Stars?
Prabhas, Allu Arjun, Yash, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan; these are a few actor from down South who are now known as the pan-India stars because their movies, which were dubbed and released in Hindi, did very well at the box office. Many other actors have also tried to do the same, but unfortunately, their films failed to make a mark in the Hindi market. Nani starrer Telugu film, Hit 3, is all set to be dubbed and released in Hindi as well. The movie is slated to release on May 1, 2025. On the same day, Suriya's Tamil film Retro is also slated to hit the big screens, and even that movie will have a release in Hindi.
Earlier, Nani's films, Dasara and Hi Nanna, both failed to make a mark in the Hindi market. While Dasara collected Rs. 4.67 crore in Hindi, Hi Nanna only collected Rs. 11 lakh.
Suriya's first pan-India release was Kanguva. The movie became a disaster at the box office, and its Hindi version collected Rs. 14.81 crore.
Now, all eyes are on Hit 3 and Retro. Both actors have promoted the film in Mumbai, and given interviews for the Hindi version. It is expected that in their respective original versions, Hit 3 (Telugu) and Retro (Tamil), are going to take a bumper opening at the box office. But, the question is, will they do well in the Hindi market?
Also, both movies will face competition with Ajay Devgn starrer Raid 2 which is expected to take a good start at the box office. Even Hollywood film Thunderbolts is releasing on May 1, and there's Sanjay Dutt starrer The Bhootnii also hitting the big screens, so it is a five-way clash at the box office.
While Nani and Suriya are amazing actors, let's wait and watch whether their respective films will be accepted by the Hindi audience or not.
