Housefull 5 Teaser: Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh Return With A Star-Studded Cruise And A Murder Mystery Twist
Get ready to set sail on the wildest cinematic cruise of the year as Housefull 5 drops its much-awaited teaser, promising “five times the madness, mayhem, and mirth.” Marking a historic milestone, it becomes India’s only comedy franchise to reach a fifth installment — a testament to its enduring popularity and over-the-top charm.
Housefull 5 Teaser
The teaser, running just over a minute, introduces a star-studded ensemble in full swagger. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Housefull 5 brings back its comic core — Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Chunky Pandey — the original trio that’s been at the center of the franchise since the beginning. They're joined by familiar faces from previous editions like Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Jackie Shroff, Ranjeet, and Nargis Fakhri.
Adding to the madness, this new chapter welcomes an exciting mix of fresh talent and veteran actors, including Sanjay Dutt, Nana Patekar, Chitrangda Singh, Fardeen Khan, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Soundarya Sharma, Nikitin Dheer, and Akashdeep Sabir.
Set against the opulent backdrop of a luxury cruise ship, the teaser stylishly reveals each character in slow motion to peppy beats. But the cheerful tone soon twists into dark comedy when a murder occurs onboard — and one of these quirky characters is the culprit. The film leans into this mystery with what it dubs a “killer comedy.”
Sanjay Dutt on doing Housefull 5
Speaking about the film earlier, Sanjay Dutt shared his excitement at an event, saying, “I am doing Housefull; that’s another crazy comedy, and Baaghi is an action-emotion kind of film. So I think I’m lucky to have these kinds of genres to work in.”
The story, penned by producer Sajid Nadiadwala, combines slapstick humor with a dose of suspense. The screenplay is crafted by Mansukhani and Farhad Samji, aiming to add new layers to the franchise’s signature chaos.
Notably, the teaser dropped exactly 15 years after the release of the first Housefull, offering a nostalgic nod to the franchise’s legacy.
