The company says that this step has to be taken due to the increase in the cost of buying milk. The onset of summer and heat wave have affected the production of milk. This has increased the price of buying milk from farmers. Mother Dairy says that it has taken this decision keeping in mind the interests of both farmers and customers. A Mother Dairy spokesperson said that Mother Dairy has to increase the price of its milk by up to Rs 2 per liter from April 30, 2025. This change has to be made due to the huge increase in the cost of buying milk, which has increased by Rs 4-5 per liter in the last few months. The spokesperson further said, ‘We are committed to providing consistently good quality milk to consumers while supporting the livelihood of our farmers. This change is just a partial part of the increased cost. It aims to meet the interests of both farmers and consumers alike.’

The new prices will be applicable from April 30, 2025 for the markets of Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Uttarakhand.
