Police begin probe into mysterious death of MBBS doctor from Raj
The Hisar police have launched an investigation into the mysterious death of Bhavna Yadav, a 25-year-old MBBS doctor from Rajasthan, who died on April 24 while reportedly en route from Hisar to Jaipur. Bhavna succumbed to severe burn injuries along with wounds believed to be caused by a sharp weapon, raising suspicions of foul play.
The incident came to light after Bhavna’s family received a phone call from a youth identified as Udesh Yadav, a resident of Rewari and reportedly working as a clerk in Hisar. He informed the family that Bhavna had been admitted to a hospital in Hisar with burn injuries. However, soon after the call, Udesh went missing and his phone was found switched off.
Bhavna’s mother, Gayatri Devi, lodged a complaint with the Rajasthan police, stating, “My daughter had left home in Rajasthan for Delhi on April 21 to attend online classes for further studies. We were shocked to learn she was in Hisar and later died there under suspicious circumstances.”
She further claimed that Bhavna’s face, stomach, and knees were badly burnt, and there were clear stab wounds on her abdomen. “I suspect she was first attacked with a weapon and then set on fire,” Gayatri alleged. She also pointed out that her daughter’s laptop, mobile phone, and important documents were missing.
Initially registered as a zero FIR in Rajasthan, the case has since been transferred to the Hisar police for a detailed probe. Sources confirmed that Bhavna had visited Hisar earlier as well, and her links to individuals in the area are now being examined.
The police have not ruled out the possibility of premeditated murder and are currently searching for Udesh Yadav, whose role in the incident is under scrutiny.
