ICAI organizes seminar on New Income Tax Bill, 2025

JAMMU, Apr 29: A seminar focusing on the upcoming New Income Tax Bill, 2025 organised by the Jammu & Kashmir Branch of the Northern India Regional Council (NIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) was held here today.
The event provided an in-depth analysis of the proposed legislation, its implications and strategic insights for professionals.
Speaking on the occasion, Sourav Pargal, Chairman of the J&K Branch of ICAI, welcomed the speakers and emphasized the importance of keeping abreast with legislative developments in the dynamic field of taxation.
The seminar featured three technical sessions led by distinguished experts in the field of taxation.
Aseem Chawla initiated the seminar with a presentation on “New Income Tax Bill, 2025 – Repeal and Savings”.
Raj Chawla, past Central Council Member of ICAI and a respected voice in the MSME sector, led the second session on “Impact of Budget, 2025 on Section 43Bh”.
Dr Girish Ahuja delivered the final session titled “Income Tax Bill, 2025 – A Comprehensive View”.
Dr Ahuja has authored numerous books on direct taxation and has been a member of various Government-appointed committees.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from Chartered Accountants and senior members of the profession across the region, who engaged actively in discussions and interactive Q&A sessions.
Jatin Malhotra (secretary) ably conducted the seminar and led the sessions to a successful conclusion.
The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the distinguished speakers and participants.
