14 people killed, several others sustain severe burn injuries in Kolkata

A devastating fire at a hotel in Mechuapatti, central Kolkata, killed 14 and injured many. The blaze began around 8:30 pm, causing panic. Mayor Firhad Hakim and Commissioner Manoj Verma led rescue efforts.
