DC, former MoS hear complaints during night halt in Ambala
Ambala Deputy Commissioner Ajay Singh Tomer along with former Minister of State Aseem Goel held a night halt programme to listen to the grievances of residents of Naneola and nearby villages last night.
Over 32 personal and public complaints related to electricity, Parivar Pehchan Patra, old-age pension, waterlogging, construction of drains and some other complaints were raised during the event. The residents also raised the demand for benefits under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana.
Various government departments had put up their stalls to disseminate information regarding the welfare policies being run by the government.
Superintendent of Police Ajit Singh Shekhawat, SDM Darshan Kumar, Chief Executive Officer Zila Parishad Gagandeep Singh, DEO Suresh Kumar, DFSC Apar Tiwari, DDA Jaswinder Saini, and officials from several other departments were present during the programme.
During the night halt, Sukhwinder Singh, Baljinder Singh and Gurmeet Singh raised the demands for installation of power meters. Harbans Kaur and Kamlesh raised the demands of benefits under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana and Farida raised the demand of BPL card. Similarly, Ranjit Singh raised the demand of old-age pension and Jagir Singh raised the demand related to drainage. The Deputy Commissioner listened to the grievances and issued directions to officials to resolve the complaints and also directed the departments to ensure that people get the benefits of government schemes.
Meanwhile, DSP Rajat Gulia made people aware of the ill-effects of drugs and also told them about cybercrime.
BJP leader and former minister Aseem Goel assured the complainants that all the grievances would be resolved on priority basis.
He said, “Following the instructions of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, night-halt programmes are being organised in every district of Haryana in which officers of all departments remain present, listen to the problems of the people and solve their problems. Besides this, ‘samadhan’ camps are being organised every Monday and Thursday at the district level and sub-division level so that the complainants don’t have to make repeated rounds of government offices to get their work done. Through these ‘samadhan’ camps, the problems of the people are also being solved quickly.”
The former Minister of State said, “I have grown up in this village and whatever I am today is because of this village. I have always received full support from the villagers for which I am grateful to them.”
