Pawan Kalyan Slams Billawal Bhutto's 'Blood Will Flow' Threat, Warns Congress Against Defending Terrorism
Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan strongly rebuked recent threats made by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari over the Indus Waters Treaty, saying India would not hesitate to defend itself at any cost.
His comments came in response to Bhutto-Zardari’s fiery speech accusing India of trying to divert Indus River waters, days after India suspended the decades-old treaty following the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives.

‘Remind Them of Their Past Defeats’: Pawan Kalyan
Addressing reporters on Tuesday, April 29, Kalyan said Pakistan must be reminded of its defeats in previous wars with India. “They should be reminded how they lost the past three wars. We have to send the visuals to them, around 70,000 soldiers, how they were treated. If they try to overboard, every Indian will come to Pakistan, if the need arises, we will spill our blood for the nation,” he said.
Kalyan’s remarks came after Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari threatened that “either our water will flow through the Indus, or their blood,” asserting Pakistan’s right over the river. He also claimed cultural ownership of the Indus Valley Civilization, saying, “That civilisation lies in Mohenjo-Daro, in Larkana. We are its true custodians.”
'Don’t Speak for Pakistan’: Kalyan’s Warning to Congress
Kalyan also aimed Congress leaders, warning them against supporting Pakistan’s stance in the aftermath of the Pahalgam killings. Without naming specific individuals, he said that defending acts of terrorism for political gain was unacceptable.
“Supporting Pakistan while staying in India is not acceptable. Such people should leave and go settle there,” he said during a tribute event for the Pahalgam victims.
He added, “Kashmir is ours. Talking about terrorism for political gain is shameful. The nation will not tolerate anyone endorsing anti-India sentiments or terrorism.”
