Walt Disney to introduce Disney Week of Wishes, a seven-day event to make wishes come true

The Walt Disney Company, in collaboration with Make-A-Wish®, has helped fulfil more than 165,000 wishes for children with critical illnesses. This longstanding partnership has established Disney as one of the world’s largest wish-granters, harnessing the power of imagination to bring hope and inspiration to children and their families.

This year, Disney is proud to introduce the inaugural Disney Week of Wishes—a global, seven-day celebration dedicated to granting wishes worldwide. Throughout this special week, Disney expects to grant more than 170 unique wishes, culminating in the celebration of World Wish Day.

“We are deeply proud of Disney’s nearly 45-year relationship with Make-A-Wish, which began with the very first official wish at Disneyland,” said Bob Iger, Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company. “It is a privilege to use the magic of Disney’s stories and characters to lift children’s spirits when they need it most. We are honoured to grant a Disney wish every hour of every day.”

This year’s wishes include unique experiences such as meeting Luke Bryan of ABC’s American Idol and Sebastian Stan of Marvel’s Thunderbolts. Disneyland Paris recently welcomed 78 Make-A-Wish families for a memorable wish weekend. The Walt Disney Company has promised an ultimate Princess experience at Once Upon A Wish Party, a storybook event at Walt Disney World for 50 Make-A-Wish Kids and their families. Visiting Disneyland Resort with nine kids and their families, along with the Disney Cruise Line for a princess celebration for three families, is planned.

In Latin America, Disney hosted its first-ever Princess Wish Event in Argentina, creating magical moments for six wish children and their families. Across Asia, Disney teams are working closely with Make-A-Wish to grant wishes, welcome Wish alumni to franchise-themed experiences, and host celebratory activities at the Shanghai Disney Store and Disney Parks throughout the region.
