According to a report by Economic Times, the philanthropist once gifted a heavy exquisite jewellery heirloom piece to her daughter-in-law.
In July 2024, the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, Anant Ambani tied the knot with Radhika Merchant. The grandiose was covered internationally too. Soon after, reports were rife that Mrs Ambani gifted her ‘choti bahu’ a “khandaani haar” worth crores. Reportedly she presented her a necklace studded with emeralds (a must when its Nita Ambani), diamonds, rubies and other stones. While there is no confirmation on the price tag, it is estimated to be around Rs 1,8 crores.
This is not the first time when Nita Ambani presented her dearest daughter-in-law with a necklace as precious. Reportedly, she once also added a diamond and pearl multilayered choker in Merchant’s contemporary collection of jewels.
Nita Ambani has a lavish taste and affinity towards jewellery. In 2019, she gifted her badi bahu, Shloka Mehta, an exquisite Mouawas L’Incomparable necklace that is worth Rs 451 crores as per Times of India report. It dazzles with almost 91 diamonds and a 407.48- carat yellow diamond, suspended from 229.52-carat white diamond, and knotted by 18-carat rose gold branchlets. This astonishingly expensive and stunning jewellery piece, made to the Guinness Book of World Record in 2013 as the ‘most valuable necklace in the world.’
