'Is This Racism?': Mouni Roy SLAMS British Airways For 'Horrible' Treatment At Heathrow Airport, Says 'Had To Beg & Cry' To Board Flight
Mouni Roy, who is currently awaiting the release of The Bhootnii, recently lashed out at British Airways for treating her and her team 'horribly' at Heathrow Airport. In a now-deleted post on X, the actress shared that after an 11-hour flight, she and part of her team landed, while one of them was on another flight. She claimed to have politely asked a staff member, whom she identified as a Muslim man, if all four members could be accommodated on the same flight, even stating she was willing to pay extra. However, she was shocked when the man allegedly 'flipped', as he did not like her tone, asking if she was even willing to fly.
Mouni's tweet read, "To mine and my entire team if women’s amazement none of the women standing there supported us but I do believe they are the reason we boarded the flight. If it was upto that horrible man he would be laugh and be happy if we missed the flight. Look into this, please. I'm not worried at all. Please do look into this for women and people for other countries who aren’t on social media. Thank you."
Further, tagging PM Narendra Modi, Mouni stated that she had to 'beg' and 'cry' to board her flight. She demanded strong action against the male team member who was allegedly rude to them.
The Naagin actress wrote, "You guys must appoint human beings who think everyone is an equal and not racially superior. One shouldn’t have to cry to board a flight if they haven’t done anything wrong and just have had a conversation. That man was horrible but the women even though they understood were supporting him. Coz team. So no. I’ll say what I have to say out in the open coz me and my team was treated horribly."
She revealed that none of her team members were offered even water during the journey after the heated argument. "Is this racism or let us know what. Not cool!" wrote Mouni.
