PNB Housing Finance Shares Jump 10%, Strong Q4 Performance Drives Investor Confidence
Mumbai: PNB Housing Finance shares saw a sharp rise of 10 per cent in early trade on Tuesday, following the company’s robust Q4 FY25 performance. The stock opened 7.48 per cent higher on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and continued its upward momentum, trading at Rs 1,084.45 apiece at 9:35 am.
The stock has been on a steady climb, gaining over 20 per cent in the last month alone, as investors reacted positively to the company's improving financial health and performance outlook.

Solid Growth in Net Profit and Interest Income
For the quarter ended March 31, 2025, PNB Housing Finance reported a 28 per cent year-on-year rise in net profit to Rs 567.1 crore. Net interest income also grew by 19.2 per cent. The profit boost was supported by a provision write-back of Rs 64.85 crore, compared to a provision expense of Rs 6.63 crore during the same period last year.
Other income also contributed to the profit jump, registering a 10 per cent increase compared to the previous year.
Asset Quality Sees Further Improvement
The company reported better asset quality in Q4. Gross non-performing assets (NPA) fell to 1.08 per cent from 1.19 per cent in the previous quarter, while net NPA improved to 0.69 per cent from 0.8 per cent. This shows healthier loan recoveries and better management of bad loans.
AUM Crosses Rs 80,000 Crore Mark
PNB Housing’s Assets Under Management (AUM) crossed Rs 80,000 crore, growing nearly 13 per cent year-on-year and 4.5 per cent sequentially. Retail loan assets grew by 18.2 per cent to Rs 74,802 crore, driven by strong performance in affordable and emerging markets segments. Notably, loans under the affordable segment exceeded Rs 5,000 crore.
Dividend Declared and Profitability Rises
The board has declared a final dividend of Rs 5 per share for FY25. The company's Return on Assets (RoA) rose by 35 basis points to 2.55 per cent for the year, reflecting improved efficiency and profitability.
Girish Kousgi, MD & CEO of PNB Housing Finance, stated that the growth was backed by strong collections and a sharper focus on affordable housing.
