MP April 29 Weather Update: Rain Alert In Eastern & Southern Districts; Bhopal-Indore Heat @ 42°C
There is a rain alert in Madhya Pradesh for the next 4 days i.e. till May 2. The eastern and southern parts like Narmadapuram, Rewa, Sagar, Jabalpur and Shahdol divisions will be affected the most.
According to the Meteorological Department, there may be rain in 6 districts of the eastern part on Tuesday. These include Shahdol, Umaria, Anuppur, Dindori, Mandla and Balaghat.
Here, the effect of heat may remain strong in Ujjain and Gwalior-Chambal divisions. The mercury will also remain around 42 degrees in the cities of Bhopal, Indore division.
Meteorologist said that cyclonic circulation is active. At the same time, two turfs are active. Due to this, there was a spell of rain in many districts on Monday.
Similar weather will remain on Tuesday as well. Strong storms can also blow here with thunder and lightning. There is a possibility of rain on May 1-2 due to the new system.
Temperature crossed 40°C in 17 cities
Amidst the storm and rain, the effect of heat was also strong in Madhya Pradesh on Monday. The mercury crossed 44°C in Gwalior. There was an increase of 3.5°C in a single day.
The day temperature crossed 40°C in 17 cities of the state including Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior and Ujjain. According to the Meteorological Department, 42.9°C in Dhar, 42.2°C in Narsinghpur, 42.1°C in Khandwa, 42°C in Khargone-Guna, 41.4°C in Shajapur, 41.1°C in Sagar-Naugaon, 41°C in Damoh, Raisen-Khajuraho and 40.6°C in Narmadapuram.
Talking about big cities, Ujjain recorded the highest temperature of 42°C, Bhopal 41.2°C, Indore 41.4°C, Gwalior 41.8°C and Jabalpur recorded 38.6°C.
