'DNA Of Terrorists And Congress Is Same: Maha Minister Nitesh Rane Calls For Treason Charges Against Congress MLA Vijay Wadettiwar

Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane launched a scathing attack on the Congress party and its MLA Vijay Wadettiwar for questioning the accounts of victims who stated that terrorists asked them their religion before opening fire.

Responding to Vijay Wadettiwar's remarks, Nitesh Rane, while speaking to the media in Mumbai on Monday, said, "The DNA of terrorists, jihadists, and the Congress is the same... there is no difference. Congress leaders have been speaking the language of terrorists. They speak the language of Pakistan. Whenever anyone takes a tough stand against Pakistan, it is the Congress that feels the pain."

"There is nothing new in it. People like Vijay Wadettiwar should be charged with treason. They have no right to live in our country," he added.

Wadettiwar’s Controversial Remarks on Pahalgam Terror Attack

Speaking about the Pahalgam terror attack, Vijay Wadettiwar said on Monday, "The government should take responsibility for the Pahalgam terrorist attack. They (the government) are saying that terrorists killed people after asking them about their religion. Do terrorists have time for all this?... Some people say this did not happen. Terrorists have no caste or religion. Identify those responsible and take appropriate action. This is the sentiment of the country."

His statement drew sharp reactions from BJP leaders, including Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who said such remarks "add insult to injury" for the families of the victims killed in the Pahalgam terror attack.
