'Clear Where Your Allegiance Lies': Actor Zayn Ibad Khan SLAMS Indian Muslims For Silence Over Pahalgam Attack After Criticising Gaza Violence
Television actor Zayn Ibad Khan, on Sunday, took to his social media and lashed out at Indian Muslims who have refrained from raising their voice against Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people. He stated that being an Indian and a Muslim was not opposite to each other, and urged the ones who stand by Pakistan to unfollow him.
Zayn took to his Instagram stories and penned a wordy note, which read, "To all HINDUSTANI Muslims. We raised our voices for Palestine. We boycotted for Gaza. But when innocent Indians are massacred by Pakistan-backed terror, all we offer is a fleeting story - 'All Eyes on Pahalgam.' Why is our outrage louder for others, but silent for our own? (sic)."
Zayn Ibad Khan's Instagram story He further continued, "If your solidarity lies more with Palestinian Muslims and less with your own country people 'INDIANS' (irrespective of the religion) Its clear where your allegiance lies (sic)."
"Being Muslim and being Indian are not opposites. I am a PROUD HINDUSTANI first who belongs to Muslim community. If my post unsettles you, it only reveals where your loyalties lie. If you stand with Pakistan in any goddamn way do me a favor - unfollow me. We are not the same. Jai Hind! (sic)," he concluded.
As soon as he shared the note, netizens lauded him for voicing out his opinion and not shying away from standing by his word. "He's absolutely right and I respect him for that (sic)," a netizen commented, while another wrote, "Kudos to the guy for being this clear in his words (sic)."
Earlier, Hina Khan too had condemned the attack and had issued a statement, urging people to not alienate Indian Muslims. "As embarrassed as I am for the act of some Muslims, I pray to my fellow Indians to not alienate all of us. All of us who call India our Home and our Motherland. If we end up fighting each other. We would be doing what they want us to do, to divide us, to keep us fighting and we must Not let that happen as Indians (sic)," she wrote on her social media.
