MP directs Chamba admn to ready tourism project proposal

Kangra Lok Sabha MP Dr Rajeev Bhardwaj on Saturday directed the Chamba administration to prepare a comprehensive project proposal for tourism development in the district. He was addressing the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting.

Bhardwaj expressed satisfaction over the successful implementation of Centrally-sponsored schemes and appreciated the coordinated efforts of the district administration and departmental heads. MLAs Neeraj Nayyar, Dr Janak Raj and DS Thakur were also present at the meeting.

Emphasising the importance of promoting tourism, Bhardwaj instructed officials to consider all available concepts while preparing the detailed project proposal before the next meeting. He added that the proposed plan would be thoroughly discussed and reviewed before initiating necessary actions.

Reviewing the progress of centrally sponsored schemes under the Aspirational District Program, Dr Bhardwaj assured that the Central Government would continue to extend full support for the successful execution of various developmental projects.
