Woman drowns while trying to save sister in Kerala's Perumbavoor

In a tragic incident in Perumbavoor, a 19-year-old girl, Fathima, drowned in the Periyar river while attempting to save her younger sister who had slipped into the water. Locals rescued the 15-year-old, but Fathima was swept away by strong undercurrents near Mudikkal. Separately, in Muvattupuzha, a 16-year-old boy named Sam went missing in a check dam, prompting a rescue operation.
