PSA slapped on hardcore criminal

KATHUA, Apr 26:- Kathua police has apprehended one hardcore criminal involved in various criminal and anti social activities and slapped Public Safety Act ( PSA) on him.
Police said the arrest was made under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua,.
Police said Jai Kumar alias Sonu son of Vijay Kumar of Mirpur Jagoo tehsil Nagri district Kathua who is a hardcore criminal involved in various criminal and anti social activities from past few years and against whom 11 FIRs have been registered at various police stations was arrested by a team of Police Post Nagri led by in charge, PSI, Ravinder Thakur under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Kathua, Ravinder Singh and SHO PS Kathua, Inspector, Sandeep Chib under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, Shobhit Saksena.
Police said in order to prevent the illegal activities within the district, dossier was prepared against the accused person and sent to the District Magistrate Kathua for his detention under Public Safety Act- 1978 (PSA).
Accordingly District Magistrate, Kathua issued a detention warrant against the accused person under the Public Safety Act 1978. The warrant has been executed today and he has been lodged in district Jail Rajouri to curtail his illegal activities.
