Union offers help to Kashmiri students targeted in region

The local unit of Punjab Students Union (PSU) has issued three helpline numbers for Kashmiri students who are allegedly being assaulted in some parts of the region in the wake of the massacre of tourists in Pahalgam recently.

PSU general secretary Dhiraj Kumar told The Tribune that in posts on the social media, the organisation had called for stopping violence against innocent Kashmiri students in the region.

The union has issued the phone numbers of its president Ranvir Kurar, general secretary Dhiraj and coordinator Amandeep Kheowali to offer help to students from the valley.

Dhiraj appealed to Kashmiri students to contact the union office-bearers if they faced any kind of hatred in any institution of the state.
