Collector Singh Calls For Scientific Stubble Management In Susner

Susner (Madhya Pradesh): Collector Raghavendra Singh on Saturday visited Semalkhedi village to promote the right methods of stubble management and spread awareness among farmers.

During his visit, he inspected the field of farmer Shyam Singh Sisodia and appreciated the process of stubble management adopted by him.

Farmer Shyam Singh Sisodia said that he mixed the stubble in the soil by working with a multi-plough machine in the field and after that used a rotavator machine.

As a result, the stubble lying on the surface of the field gets completely absorbed in the soil. The process increases the fertility of the land and the yield of the upcoming crops is also better.

Apart from this, he also sprayed 'Best Decomposer' prepared by himself. After maintaining proper moisture in the field, by using a decomposer, the stubble rots quickly and becomes a natural fertilizer for the land.

Collector Raghavendra Singh, while interacting with the farmers, said that this type of method of stubble management not only improves the quality of the soil but more production of the next crop is possible at a lower cost. He also said that burning stubble is harmful for both the environment and the soil.

Collector informed that the government might impose financial penalty for stubble burning. Additional collector RP Verma, SDO (revenue) Sarvesh Yadav, Agriculture department deputy director Vijay Chaurasia among others were present.
