Laurie Jill "Lar" Park Lincoln, a celebrated American actress known for her role in Knots Landing, has passed away at the age of 63. Born on May 27, 1961, in Dallas, Texas, Lincoln left an indelible mark in the Hollywood film industry with her life standing as a testament to her dedication and passion. She captivated the audience with her compelling performances in both television and cinema.

The actor-turned-acting coach founded the Actors Audition Studios, which issued a statement on Facebook in the wee hours of Friday morning. “It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lar Park Lincoln, celebrated actress, founder of Actors Audition Studios, and America’s beloved Audition Coach, on April 22, 2025,” it read. “Over her 45-year career, Lar left an unforgettable mark on Hollywood through her dynamic performances and dedication to mentoring aspiring actors.”

Lincoln began her journey as an actor during the early 1980s, marking her small-screen debut in the 1985 television movie Children of the Night. Her theatrical debut came in 1987 when she played the lead role in the comedy flick The Princess Academy. However, the role that skyrocketed her to fame was Tina Shepard in Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood. Her performance in the slasher film cemented her status as a scream queen, leaving horror fans spellbound. Throughout her career, she proved her versatility taking a wide range of roles in various genres.

Her notable performances include House II: The Second Story (1987), and her recurring role as Linda Fairgate in the critically acclaimed Dallas spin-off, Knots Landing (1987-1991). Other credits include Fatal Charm, Hunter, Outlaws, and Highway to Heaven to name a few.

Lincoln tied the knot with Michael Martin Lincoln on December 5, 1981, with whom she shares two children – Piper and Trevor. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress had been battling breast cancer. Lincoln’s legacy extends beyond her impressive filmography.
