Anant Ambani Joins Reliance Board As Executive Director, Will Take Charge From May 1

Mumbai: Anant Ambani has been appointed as the Executive Director of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL). He will officially take charge from May 1, 2025, for a term of five years. The decision was approved by the company’s Board of Directors, based on the recommendation of the Human Resources, Nomination, and Remuneration Committee.

Was already part of RIL as a Non-Executive Director

Before this new role, Anant Ambani was serving as a Non-Executive Director on the board of RIL. Now, as an Executive Director, he will play a more active and important role in running India's most valuable company.

Involved in other Reliance companies

Anant is also involved in other key businesses of the Reliance group. He is a board member of:

- Jio Platforms (telecom and digital services),

- Reliance Retail Ventures,

- Reliance New Energy, and

- Reliance New Solar Energy.

Since September 2022, he has also been part of the Reliance Foundation Board, which handles the company’s social and charitable work.

Comes from a family of leaders

Anant Ambani is the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries. His elder siblings are also deeply involved in the company:

- Akash Ambani is the Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm,

- Isha Ambani is the Executive Director at Reliance Retail Ventures Limited.

- Both are Non-Executive Directors on the RIL board.

Studied abroad and passionate about animals

Anant Ambani completed his graduation from Brown University in the United States. He is also known for being very passionate about animal welfare.
