3 killed, 2 injured after blast in fireworks unit in Tamil Nadu

A major accident occurred at a fireworks factory in M Pudupatti, near Sivakasi. A blast in a working shed resulted in casualties. Three workers died immediately. Two others sustained injuries and are receiving treatment at the Sivakasi government hospital. Five working sheds were damaged due to the explosion. Fire and rescue personnel are working to control the fire.
