Actor Ranya Rao bail plea rejected in gold smuggling case

The Karnataka High Court has denied bail to actress Harshavardhini Ranya Rao and Tarun Konduru Raju, who are accused in a gold smuggling case. Ranya Rao was apprehended on March 3, 2025, with over 14 kg of gold concealed on her person. The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) highlighted the duo's frequent travels to Dubai and presented evidence of the arrest memo being properly served.
