Navi Mumbai News: CIDCO Sets New Benchmark, Completes Multi-Level Car Parking Facility In 42 Days Under ‘Mission-45’ At Kharkopar
Navi Mumbai: CIDCO has completed the construction of a Multi-Level Car Parking (MLCP) facility in Kharkopar, Navi Mumbai in a record-breaking 42 days, under its ambitious ‘Mission-45’ initiative. The achievement sets a new precedent in the speed and efficiency of public infrastructure development.
To celebrate this milestone, a formal ceremony was held on Friday, attended by Vijay Singhal, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of CIDCO, Shantanu Goel, Joint Managing Director, Sheela Karunakaran, Chief Engineer (Navi Mumbai International Airport), Prabhakar Phulari, Additional Chief Engineer, and other senior CIDCO officials.
“At CIDCO, our motto is quality without compromise, speed without delay, and safety above all. The completion of this MLCP under Mission-45 exemplifies our commitment to setting new development benchmarks and creating better living environments,” said Vijay Singhal, CIDCO’s Vice Chairman and Managing Director.
The MLCP has been developed as part of Package-4 under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), where CIDCO is constructing over 67,000 tenements in various nodes of Navi Mumbai. Construction of the facility began on March 4, 2025, and was completed on April 17, three days ahead of schedule. Typically, such projects take six months to complete, making this achievement even more significant, said a CIDCO official.
This fast-track execution was made possible through the use of advanced global precast technology, utilizing 2,212 precast components to complete the RCC structure from plinth to terrace.
The structure comprises Ground plus six floors, with the ground floor dedicated as a Community Centre, and the remaining six floors providing car parking. The facility covers a built-up area of 1.43 lakh square feet and can accommodate 365 four-wheelers.
In response to the rising number of personal vehicles and the growing challenge of parking in urban areas, CIDCO’s MLCP offers a much-needed solution for residents of its housing projects.
“CIDCO’s affordable housing complexes are located in well-connected, developed nodes of Navi Mumbai and include modern amenities that rival those provided by private developers. The MLCP enhances these housing schemes by adding critical infrastructure, contributing to more organized and livable communities,” the officer added.
