Man tries to save girlfriend from harassers, beaten to death

In New Town's Gouranganar, a 29-year-old man, Sanket Chatterjee, was fatally beaten after confronting three men harassing his live-in partner. The incident occurred in the early hours when the woman, having left home after an argument, was accosted by the trio. Despite her pleas and attempts to seek help from neighbors, the assault continued, leading to Sanket's death.
