Arti Rao seeks name of chowk after martyr Flight Lt Yadav
Health Minister Arti Singh Rao has written to Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, as well as Union Ministers Jagat Prakash Nadda and Nitin Gadkari, highlighting the strong public sentiment in South Haryana — particularly from the Rewari and Mahendragarh regions — regarding a permanent tribute to martyr Flight Lieutenant Siddharth Yadav.
In her letter, Rao stated she has been receiving frequent appeals from local residents and the martyr’s family, urging the government to honour Yadav’s supreme sacrifice in a meaningful and lasting way.
“Representatives of social organisations, other residents and the martyr’s family are demanding that Garhi Bolni Road and a prominent chowk on the Narnaul bypass in Rewari city be named after Siddharth Yadav, so the place can serve as an inspiration for future generations,” she wrote. “I request both the state and Central government to fulfil this demand.”
Flight Lieutenant Siddharth Yadav lost his life on April 2 when his Jaguar aircraft crashed in the fields of Suvarda village, around 12 km from Rewari, during a training sortie from Jamnagar, Gujarat.
On Wednesday, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini also visited the martyr’s residence in Rewari to offer his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
