SC approves finalisation of UGC Regulations 2025
The Supreme Court has approved the finalization and notification of the UGC's 2025 Regulations aimed at preventing caste-based discrimination in higher education. While acknowledging concerns raised by student representatives, the court emphasized the regulations' potential benefit to a large number of students. Recommendations from the National Task Force on student suicides will be considered separately.
