NSUI holds ‘Samvidhan Walk’ at Delhi University, seeks accountability for terror attack

The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) on Thursday organised a ‘Samvidhan Walk’ at Delhi University’s Arts Faculty, led by national president Varun Choudhary. The march, attended by hundreds of students dressed in white T-shirts symbolising justice and equality, was aimed at protesting the recent terror attack in Pahalgam and raising concerns over several national issues.

The walk began with a tribute being paid to Mahatma Gandhi, as Choudhary reiterated the NSUI’s commitment to non-violence and democratic principles. Speaking during the event, he accused the Central Government of ignoring national security in favour of political vendettas.

“If even a fraction of the government’s effort to attack opposition leaders — especially Rahul Gandhi Ji — had gone into protecting national security, this tragedy might have been avoided. We demand answers, not spin,” Choudhary said.

He further asserted, “The NSUI stands against terrorism and for the Constitution. Our youth are ready to serve the nation — not in spectacle, but in spirit.”

The protest also highlighted issues such as caste discrimination, unemployment, paper leaks, and what the organisers called a steady erosion of democratic institutions. The NSUI called upon the youth of India to unite in defence of constitutional values and demand accountability from those in power.
