Pakistan to conduct surface-to-surface missile test after INS Surat missile test-fire?

After the Indian Navy reported that it test-fired a medium-range surface-to-air missile from the guided missile destroyer INS Surat, reports now emerge that Pakistan may be preparing for a missile test as well.
Pakistan reportedly issued a notification for a surface-to-surface missile test to be conducted off the Karachi coast within its Exclusive Economic Zone on Thursday or Friday.
According to defence sources, Indian agencies are keeping a close watch on all the developments.
Prominent open-source intelligence (OSINT) analyst Damien Symon took to X to say that an image taken yesterday shows "the Indian Navy Aircraft Carrier - INS Vikrant underway in the Arabian Sea Region off the coast of Karwar."

The reports of Pakistan planning the missile test come amid increasing tensions with India in the wake of the terror attack in Pahalgam in which 26 people were killed.
The move to conduct surface-to-surface missile test suggest that Pakistan may be jittery after India suspended the Indus Water Treaty and announced downgrading diplomatic ties with Pakistan including the expulsion of its military attaches.
India will be withdrawing its own defence, navy and air advisors from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad.
Defence
