VIDEO: Jabalpur Man Smashes Windows Of Over Dozen Parked Cars; Retd CSP’s Car Also Damaged

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A bizarre incident was reported in Jabalpur, where a man was caught smashing the windows of luxury cars parked in Kotwali police station jurisdiction, as reported by police on Thursday. Retired CSP’s car was among the dozen damaged cars.

The incident was also captured in a video which is circulating on social media at present. After coming across the same, police registered an FIR and detained the accused, who is under interrogation at present.

According to information, the incident occurred at Jabalpur’s Pandey Chowk at around 8 am on Thursday morning. The incident created panic among locals, who quickly came out of their homes to see what was happening.

As per sources, retired CSP (City Superintendent of Police) Hariom Sharma had come to the Nimar Ganj vegetable market and parked his car near Pandey Chowk. 

Onlookers held the accused

While he was busy buying vegetables, a local man appeared with an iron rod and, without any reason, began smashing the windows of the parked cars. Within a few minutes, he had broken the windows of more than half a dozen vehicles, including the retired CSP’s car.

Some onlookers then showed courage and managed to catch the man. They took the iron rod away from him and handed him over to the police. An FIR has been registered, and police are now questioning the man to find out the reason behind his act.

Kotwali Police Station in-charge Vipin Tamrakar said that an investigation is underway regarding the matter. The car owners have filed complaints, and expressed anger.

The police have assured strict action will be taken against the accused.
