'Two People Came To Us, Asked If We Read Quran': Woman Shares Harrowing Encounter With Pahalgam Terrorist
Days after the deadly attack in Pahalgam, a tourist has come forward to describe her chilling encounter with one of the terrorists involved. In a video shared by news agency ANI, the tourist, a resident of Rajasthan, narrated how she was approached by one of the terrorists while visiting the region.
The woman explained that upon arriving in Pahalgam, she initially expected to see heightened security, but was surprised to find there was none in the area. Reflecting on the sketch of the terrorist released later, she revealed that one of the assailants had approached her about 500 meters from the location of the attack. The man, she said, inquired about how many people had come with her and even asked about her religion, repeatedly questioning whether she had read the Quran.
"I told him it was in Urdu, but I had never read it," the woman recalled. "He then told me to read it in Hindi."
The tourist further described how the man received a call, during which he allegedly mentioned that the "break" could not fail, and that "Plan B" was in action and also that "thirty-five guns sent to the valley."
Feeling uneasy, the woman asked her husband to take a photo of the man, growing suspicious of his behavior. Concerned for her safety, she decided to cancel her planned visit to the higher reaches of Pahalgam and left the area immediately.
