Madhubani. There is good news for the residents of Bihar. In fact, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the Amrit Bharat train from a program organized in Madhubani on Thursday (24 April). This is Bihar’s second and the country’s third Amrit Bharat train. This train will run from Saharsa station in Bihar to Lokmanya Tilak Terminal in Mumbai. Earlier, Amrit Bharat train is running between Darbhanga and New Delhi.
The new Amrit Bharat Express train will start from Saharsa and reach Mumbai via Khagaria, Salona, Hasanpur Road, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur, Sonpur Pataliputra, Danapur, Ara, Buxar, Deen Dayal Upadhyay, Mirzapur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Manikpur, Satna, Jabalpur, Itarsi, Bhusaval, Jalgaon, Nashik Road, Kalyan, Thane. After the inauguration, it will run from Saharsa on Sunday of every week and on return, Amrit Bharat will run from Lokmanya Tilak Terminal on Friday.
1000 km journey will cost 450 rupees
This train will have 22 coaches. It has 11 general class coaches and 8 sleeper class coaches. The non-AC train Amrit Bharat can run at a maximum speed of 130 km per hour. The fare of this train is also low. A journey of 1000 km through this train will cost around 450 rupees.
Bihar’s first Namo Bharat Rapid Rail also started
Apart from Amrit Bharat, PM Modi also flagged off Bihar’s first Namo Bharat Rapid Rail (Vande Metro) between Jaynagar and Patna. DRM of Samastipur Railway Division Vinay Srivastava said that Namo Bharat Rapid Rail will run between Jaynagar and Patna via Samastipur, Darbhanga, Sakri, Madhubani, Barauni, Mokama and Bakhtiyarpur. This train will run 6 days a week and will cover this distance in just 4 hours and 50 minutes. DRM said that it will be a fully air-conditioned train with 16 coaches, which will have modern coaches like metro. This train is capable of running at a speed of 160 km/h and can carry more than 2,000 passengers.
