Indore Shocker! Raped & Blackmailed By School Bus Driver, Nursery Teacher Attempts Self-Immolation

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A private school teacher attempted to kill herself and set herself on fire after allegedly being raped and blackmailed by a school bus driver in Indore.

A formal complaint was filed on Tuesday. Based on her statement, police registered a case and have begun their investigation.

She is currently being treated at a hospital, and a police case has been registered.

According to information, the incident came to light after the teacher, overwhelmed by threats and fear, set herself on fire.

According to the Tilak Nagar Police, the teacher works at a school in Semlia Chau and teaches nursery students.

She had been commuting by the school bus since 2023, driven by the accused, Rohit Kalyane. Over time, the two became friendly and started chatting and talking regularly.

In September 2023, during Ganesh Chaturthi, they went to a Ganesh temple together.

The teacher alleged that Rohit spiked her drink with an intoxicating substance. When she became unconscious, he took her to a friend’s room and sexually assaulted her. He also took inappropriate photos of her.

In January 2024, the teacher got engaged. Then, on March 13, while she was returning home from school, Rohit allegedly assaulted her again in the school bus, in presence of five to six children.

Rohit handed over the bus to another driver, Shubham, and then used the earlier photos to threaten her before committing the act.

Due to ongoing threats and pressure, the teacher set her clothes on fire in despair. Her family took her to Choithram Hospital, where she told her uncle and aunt everything that had happened.

Following which the police registered a complaint, and is investigating the matter further.
