BMC to Set Up Own Fuel Station to Cut Costs

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) plans to establish its own fuel station and garage to manage its fleet of over 500 vehicles and machinery efficiently.
The proposal has been discussed in a recent meeting of the BMC, as per reports.
The initiative aims to reduce dependency on private fuel providers and lower operational costs, said BMC Mayor Sulochana Das.
She highlighted that the in-house facility could operate on a business model, offering diesel and petrol to both BMC vehicles and the public, generating additional revenue.
The planned fuel station will provide diesel and petrol, enabling the BMC to reduce operational expenses and enhance vehicle management.
