The CCTV footage of the incident shows the dog being crushed under the car.
The dog’s owner, Khushita Agarwal, claims the act was done intentionally and has demanded strict action from the authorities.
According to information, the accused has been identified as Govind Gupta, a railway engineer. Khushita said that she had arguments with the dog’s owner earlier, due to which he must have deliberately killed her beloved dog.
"We believe the car was driven over the dog on purpose. This is not just an accident – it is cruelty," said Khushita Agarwal. She has filed an FIR, and the matter is now under police investigation.
In response to the incident, the owner along with local animal lovers are coming together to organise a silent protest.
They aim to appeal to the police and government for stronger action against animal cruelty and to raise awareness about the importance of animal protection.
“We want justice, not just for this dog, but for every voiceless animal. We request the authorities to take firm steps,” said one of the organizers.
Police have now registered a case and are looking into the matter. The CCTV footage is being used as part of the investigation.
The video of the incident has been shared with a trigger warning and is blurred due to its sensitive nature.
