Condemnations continue to pour in against Pahalgam terror attack

JAMMU, Apr 23: Condemnations continued to pour in from the length and breadth of the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh on 2nd day today against gruesome and cowardly Pahalgam terror attack which claimed lives of 26 tourists and injured several others.
Dr Karan Singh, former Sadr-e-Riyasat of J&K and former Member of Parliament, expressed deep sorrow and outrage over the horrific terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam. In a strongly worded statement issued today, Dr Karan Singh described the attack as a “deplorable and despicable act,” emphasizing that such calculated brutality has no place in any civilized society.
“My heart goes out to the families of the tourists killed in this operation, and my prayer for the recovery of those wounded. I presume steps are being planned to respond to this frightful attack that crossed all norms of civilized behavior,” he said.
Ghulam Nabi Azad, president of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) and former Chief Minister of J&K, expressed deep sorrow over the incident, extended his sympathies to the affected families, and called for stringent action against those responsible. “The barbaric act of terrorism deserves condemnation in the strongest words,” Azad stated, emphasizing the need for unity across all communities to combat such acts of violence.
Azad also highlighted the importance of providing immediate medical assistance to the injured and ensuring comprehensive support for the victims’ families. He reiterated his commitment to peace and stability in the region, urging all political parties and citizens to come together in the fight against terrorism.
Former Union Minister Saifuddin Soz condemned the Pahalgam terror attack in strongest terms, stating that “Words fail to help us to express our grief on this tragedy”. Soz said the society expects that the Government will respond to this tragic situation in clear cut terms.
Former Minister and ex-MLA Bandipora, Usman Majid, while condemning the cowardly and gruesome terrorist attack, termed it a brutal assault not only on innocent civilians but also on the fragile peace and stability of J&K. This attack is a grim reminder of the sinister and continuous designs of the Pakistan, Majid sai.
Senior Vice President Jammu Kashmir People’s Conference (JKPC) and former Minister Abdul Gani Vakil has issued a strong condemnation of the barbaric attack on innocent tourists in Kashmir, calling it an inhuman act that stands in absolute contradiction to the values of Islam and humanity.
Former Minister G M Saroori while condemning the terrorist attack expressed deep sorrow over the killing of innocent tourists. He termed the attack as “cowardly and heinous.” He stated that such acts of violence have no place in a civilized society and must be denounced by all.
Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Kargil also condemned the Pahalgam terrorist attack. Executive Councilor, Kacho Mohammad Feroz said, “Such acts of terrorism are a threat to peace and stability in the region.”
Advocate Purnima Sharma, spokesperson of BJP J&K, issued a strong condemnation of the targeted killing of Hindu tourists in Pahalgam, describing it as a vile and calculated act rooted in religious extremism.
Senior Congress leader and DDC Member Suchetgarh, Taranjit Singh Tony, strongly condemned the barbaric terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, terming it a grave failure of intelligence agencies.
Martand Singh, scion of the Dogra Royal Family, expressed deep anguish and outrage over the brutal terrorist attack on innocent tourists. Terming the incident as a “barbaric and cowardly massacre,” he said no words are sufficient to condemn such a heinous act.
The Grand Mufti of India, Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad, while strongly condemning the terror attack stated, “The attack in Pahalgam is a vile intrusion into India’s peaceful way of life. Terrorism can never defeat India,” Grand Mufti added.
Condemning the attack, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) J&K president Darshan Rana said that the Central Government needs to take special steps to provide security to the common citizens. He said that the BSP wants the Government to take strict action to end terrorism.
Samajwadi Party while condemning the gruesome terror attack, said “This tragic act once again highlights the critical failure of security infrastructure and sheer incompetence of the current Government.
NAUP president Sandeep Singh, in a strong statement issued in response to tragic terrorist attack on tourists, has condemned the violence and expressed deep grief over the loss of innocent lives. He called the incident a “horrifying and targeted killing.”
Maulana Mahmood Madani, president of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, expressed deep sorrow and anguish over the terrorist massacre that took place in Pahalgam. He condemned the heinous act in the strongest possible terms.
Condemning the attack, Rahul Sahai (chairman of the Indian Chamber of Commerce, Jammu), stated, “Targeting innocent tourists is a heinous and barbaric act that goes against the very spirit of Kashmiriyat and the values of peace and hospitality that define our region.
Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCC&I) convened an executive committee meeting today during which a resolution strongly condemning the deplorable killing of innocent people in Baisaran, Pahalgam, was condemned unanimously.
Bishop Ivan Pereira, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Jammu-Srinagar expressed deep anguish and unequivocal condemnation of the horrific terrorist attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam. “This brutal and cowardly act is an affront to the sanctity of human life,” he said.
Central University of Jammu (CUJ), led by Vice-Chancellor Prof Sanjeev Jain, vehemently condemned the cowardly terror attack that targeted innocent lives. The University community expressed profound grief and anguish over the heinous terrorist attack.
Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) also condemned the gruesome attack. Vice Chancellor Prof Jawaid Iqbal said, “This tragic incident has shaken us deeply. BGSBU stands in solidarity with the families of the victims”.
J&K Bank strongly condemned the heinous cowardly terrorist attack. MD & CEO Amitava Chatterjee said, “The brutal killing of 26 innocent civilians is an inhuman and condemnable act that has not only devastated families but shaken the entire nation.”
LIC employees of J&K represented by Northern Zone Insurance Employees’ Association Srinagar Division unequivocally condemned the ghastly terrorist attack on the innocent tourists. Our thoughts are with the families of the victims during this difficult time, they added.
Judicial Employees Welfare Association J&K strongly condemn the brutal terror attack on innocent unarmed tourists by Pak sponsored terrorists on Tuesday. JEWA held a meeting here under leadership of Sr state vice president Ranjit Parihar.
“Such acts of senseless violence are not only an assault on humanity but also a direct attack on the values of peace, non-violence and unity that Mahatma Gandhi stood for,” said Dr S P Varma, president of Gandhi Global Family J&K, while condemning the attack.
In a joint resolution passed today, Vichar Kranti Manch International (VKMI), Bharat Vikas Parishad (Shivalik), Senior Citizens Joy Society, Indian Yoga Association, and Sarv Uthan Trust strongly condemned the dastardly terror attack.
This barbaric act was also condemned by J&K National Trade Union Front. “This cowardly act is a black mark on the communal harmony of J&K and is completely unacceptable,” said Mohd Gafoor Dar, president of the Front.
In a meeting held here today under the chairmanship of its president Rajesh Raina, Sangram Sena J&K termed the Pahalgam attack a heinous act of terrorism that has caused deep anguish and outrage among all peace-loving citizens.
Joint Coordination Committee of Graduate Engineers of J&K, comprising the J&K Civil Engineering Graduates Association (JKCEGA) and the J&K Mechanical Engineering Graduates Association (JKMEGA), expressed its strongest condemnation of the horrific killing of innocent tourists.
All Jammu Hotels and Lodges Association also condemned the dastardly act of terrorists killing the innocent tourists. The Association appealed to the authorities to act swiftly to deal sternly with the sympathizers and perpetrators of this heinous crime.
Chamber of Tourism Trade and Industry, Katra (CTTIK) unanimously passed a resolution strongly condemning the terror attack at Pahalgam. They said, “This senseless act of terror, targeting unarmed and peaceful tourists, is a heinous crime against the spirit of Kashmiriyat.”
JKCCTU (Jammu and Kashmir Coordination Committee of Trade Unions) expressed grief and sorrow over barbaric militant attack on innocent tourists. JKCCTU while condemning this barbaric act said this is an organized attempt to create an atmosphere of uncertainty and division.
Employees Joint Action Committee Jammu Kashmir (EJAC) while condemning the attack expressed deep concern over the loss of innocent civilians. EJAC president Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam termed the attack as a reprehensible act of violence.
Strongly condemning this inhuman act, JEWA State senior vice president Ranjit Parihar said killing of innocent tourists has ashamed humanity. He demanded those behind this heinous act should be brought to justice.
Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation led by its president Jaswinder Singh also condemned the barbaric terrorist attack on innocent tourists.
Condemning the attack, J&K ITI Employees United Front expressed deep and sorrow over the incident. “This inhuman and anti-social act goes against the age-old ethos of tolerance, brotherhood and communal harmony,” said Nazir Ahmed Molvi, president of the Front.
Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM) president Prof Narayan Lal Gupta stated, “This attack was not only an inhumane assault on the lives of innocent civilians, but also an act of brutal murder based on religious grounds, targeting humanity itself”.
The HoDs/faculty members/officers/staff of Government Medical College & Associated Hospitals, Jammu also condemned the attack in the strongest possible words. The Institution reiterates its stand that the terrorism has no religion and it must be condemned in its all forms and shapes.
Kuldeep Kashmiri and Bharat Kachroo, senior members of Kashmiri Pandit Community strongly condemned the attack calling it a grim reminder of the hidden terror that continues to plague the Kashmir Valley. It exposes the hollow narrative of restored normalcy in J&K, they added.
Anil Sharma, president of All J&K Panchayat Conference has strongly condemned the barbaric terrorist attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam. In a statement, Sharma described the incident as a heinous crime against humanity.
J&K Intellectual Civil Society, New Delhi, under the leadership of its Chairman S S Sodhi, convened an urgent meeting in which all the members condemned the attack in the strongest possible terms, describing it as a barbaric act against peace and humanity.

All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU), in a meeting held under the chairmanship of its chairman Mohd Latif Qureshi, strongly condemned the terror attack in Pahalgam. He said, “This act was just aimed to disturb the social harmony in J&K.”
Veteran Trade leader Mohammad Sadiq Baqal has strongly condemned the barbaric terrorist attack in Pahalgam, describing it as a brutal assault on peace, humanity and the spirit of Kashmiriyat.

In a deeply moving tribute, the Synergetic Green Warriors Foundation condemned the terror attack on tourists. Reeta Verma, National president of the Foundation said, “Such cowardly and inhuman acts are an attack on the very spirit of Bharat.”
Indian Doctors for Peace and Development (IDPD) said, “The perpetrators of this barbaric act should be brought to the book. Such acts vitiate the already volatile atmosphere in South Asia, add to already pervasive tension, increase the arms race and nuclear proliferation.”
“Shiban Khaibri, senior journalist, termed the Pahalgam massacre of innocent unarmed tourists as dastardly, barbaric, satanic and demonic. “The need is to uproot the terror tree instead of trimming its branches, the innocents’ spilled blood must be avenged,” he said.
BJP senior leader Malik Mushtaq Noorabadi in a statement said, “Few condemned the attack in strongest terms. In this saddle of sorrow, we all are with bereaved families from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.”
The management, faculty, staff and students of Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences & Hospital, Sidhra also condemned untimely demise of the innocent tourists who were killed in a barbaric act of extremism.
Nitish Mahajan, president of BJP Trikuta Nagar Mandal, has strongly condemned the brutal and targeted killing of Hindu tourists in Pahalgam, terming it not just an act of terrorism but a direct assault on India’s secular ethos and national unity.
Dr Parneesh Mahajan, senior BJP leader, called the terrorist act an act of “religious hatred and barbarity. He stated that such heinous crimes are a grim reminder of the ideologies that continue to threaten India’s unity, peace and secular ethos.
Tawi Welfare Society (TWS) while condemned the barbaric attack, said, “We appeal to our PM Narendera Modi to take revenge for these killings by attacking Pakistan. Time has come to teach our enemy a lesson.”
Aggarwal Sabha Jammu and Kashmir expressed its profound grief and outrage over the horrific terrorist attack. They said, “This is not just an attack on unarmed civilians but also an affront to the values of peace, harmony and humanity that our society stands for.”
In a powerful and heartfelt statement, Parvinder Singh Happy, Chairman of the Guru Nanak Sewa Charitable Trust, called the attack “deeply disturbing” and “inhumane”. He emphasized the need for peace, harmony and unity at a time of rising tension.
The executive committee of Ganesh Mandir Prabandhak Samiti, Srinagar has strongly condemned the attack on tourists in Pahalgam. They said, “The time has come for the Government of India to act and crush the terrorists and their supporters.”
The executive committee of Brahman Maha Mandal, Kashmir expressed shock and grief over the killing of innocent tourists and said, “It’s the need of hour that the Government must take a strict action against the terrorists, who are killing the innocent people.”
Hindu Shiv Sena president, Krishan Singh Manhas while condemned the terror attack in Pahalgam, said, “This is crystal clear a security lapse. The Government should take necessary action against this terror attack.”
Sourav Singh Sarmal, founder and chairman of Kaliveeran Farzand-i-Khas termed the attack a comprehensive intelligence failure. He said, “This was not just an attack of terror, but an assault on the foundational values of humanity.”
Shiromani Akali Dal under the chairmanship of Advocate Surinder Singh condemned the terrorists attack on innocent tourists. He said all the people irrespective of caste and creed should raise their voice against this barbaric action at the hands of terrorists.
All India Migrant Camps Coordination Committee, Jammu led by its Chairman B K Raina and president Desh Rattan Pandita strongly condemned the attack on tourists. They said it is direct attack on national integration of our country.
The Global Kashmiri Pandit Diaspora strongly condemn Pahalgam Massacre of innocent Tourists at the hands of Jihadi elements who opened fire on them in a broad day light.
