Indian-Origin Man Treats Hong Kong Girlfriend With Mumbai’s Vada Pav; Video Goes Viral
Love street food? If yes, this video will make you crave some roadside delights.
A recent video showed an Indian-origin reel creator from Sydney walking on the streets of Mumbai and treating his Hong Kong-based girlfriend with the city’s popular snack. In a group of four, they arrive at a local snacks stall and ask for a Vada Pav.
The clip was shared by vloggers Nick and Carie. In the video, Carie enjoyed a bite of Vada Pav from the streets. She went to a roadside vendor and asked for one piece of the dish. She didn’t use English to converse with the man.

She spoke in Marathi to grab a Vada Pav
Did she speak in Marathi? Your wild guess is true. She engaged in a conversation in Marathi and said, “Bhaiya..Bhaiya” at first. Later, she tried to speak fluently and grab the snack.
She impressively placed the order by saying, “Bhau, mala Vada Pav dya na (Brother, give me one Vada Pav)”.
Nick introduced his girlfriend to Mumbai’s iconic Vada Pav. Dressed in pink, Carrie eagerly repeated, “I order! I order!”. But what truly stole the show was Carrie confidently ordering it in Marathi.
To an extent, Nick was also stunned when she said, “Bhau...”. Curious, he asked how she learned this sentence. She casually replied, “I Googled it.”
In another video, she was seen trying Vada Pav at a restaurant. She woke up from her hotel bed and walked to the dining area of the accommodation, treating herself with the desi snack. Filming this clip, Nick said, “Sleep mania to eat mania — that’s Carrie’s life.”
Carrie gave the street vendor's Vada Pav a "10/10" rating and said it tasted “way better” than the hotel-served one.
The videos of her trying Vada Pav have gone viral on Instagram, with millions of views.
