Two Teenage Boys Run Over By Speeding Vehicle While Returning From Field On NH-46 In MP’s Guna
Guna (Madhya Pradesh): Two teenage boys died after being hit by an unknown vehicle while they were returning from a nearby field after going for toilet on National Highway-46 on Tuesday.
The accident occurred near Gader village, about 8 kilometers from Guna district headquarters.
According to information, the tragic incident happened late Tuesday night while they were returning from a nearby field after going for toilet.
The boys, both 17 years old, were identified as Sanskar, son of Mazboot Singh Sahariya, and his cousin Bharat, son of Gyan Singh Sahariya. Sanskar had come from Chilka village with a family group to attend a traditional "Tika Faldan" ceremony in Gader.
After the ceremony, he stayed at his uncle Gyan Singh's house.
Around 11 PM, Sanskar and Bharat went across the highway for toilet. While they were crossing the road to return, an unknown speeding vehicle hit them. Both boys died on the spot.
Local villagers informed the police, and the boys were taken to the hospital by ambulance, but doctors confirmed their death. Their bodies were sent for postmortem and later handed over to their families on Wednesday.
It is important to mention that road repair work is ongoing on the highway, and one side of the road is closed. Because of this, all traffic is moving on a single lane, which may have caused the accident.
