Chhattisgarh advances school vacation amid soaring temperatures and heatwave alert

Chhattisgarh government has decided to prepone the summer holidays for all schools, beginning April 25, 2025, due to the ongoing heatwave and soaring temperatures above 44°C. The decision aims to protect students from heat-related health risks, with the new vacation period running until June 15, 2025. The announcement was made by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, who urged students to stay indoors and engage in creative activities to stay safe during the heatwave.
