Pahalgam Terror Attack: Sketches of terrorists released; security tightened at India-Nepal border
Following the deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, intelligence agencies have released sketches of the suspected attackers. Preliminary investigations reveal that the terrorists infiltrated through the Pir Panjal mountain range, traveling from Rajouri to Chhatru and Wadhwan before reaching Pahalgam. This infiltration route runs close to Reasi and Udhampur districts, areas predominantly inhabited by the Gujjar-Bakarwal community. It is believed the attackers used this route to blend in with locals and avoid raising suspicion.In response to the incident, security has been significantly reinforced along the India-Nepal Sonouli border. According to PTI, Uttar Pradesh Police, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), and intelligence agencies are closely monitoring the region. Strict identity checks are being conducted before allowing individuals to cross the border, aiming to prevent any further terrorist movement.
