Pahalgam Terror Attack: Mumbai Resident Sanjay Lele Among Victims; Childhood Friend Praveen Raul Demands Strict Action From Government

Mumbai: In a tragic incident that happened on Tuesday, a terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, claimed the lives of several individuals, including Mumbai resident Sanjay Lele. The attack, which occurred in a popular tourist destination, left the local and national community in shock. According to the latest report, six people from Maharashtra were among the victims and overall, 26 from different places, including Sanjay Lele, a resident of Dombivli, who was killed in the Pahalgam terrorist attack.

Sanjay's childhood friend, Praveen Raul, expressed his grief and condemnation of the attack, speaking to the media. Raul emphasised the fundamental right of every citizen to travel, settle, or own land anywhere in India without fear of violence.

While speaking to the media, a childhood friend of Sanjay Lene, who was tragically killed in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on Tuesday, expressed deep sorrow and condemnation of the incident.

He highlighted that every citizen has the fundamental right to travel, settle, and own land anywhere in the country, and stressed that this right has been violated in this case. Addressing concerns about public safety, he said, “This incident clearly shows that we are not safe.” He demand strict action against the attack, stating, “The government should take strict action against this..."

Atleast 28 people lost their lives in a horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam, a well-known tourist hotspot in Jammu and Kashmir, on Tuesday afternoon. The assault occurred in the scenic Baisaran Valley, often referred to as ‘mini Switzerland’ for its views of snow-covered mountains. Tourists were enjoying pony rides in the valley when, around 2:30 p.m., gunmen suddenly opened fire. This tragic incident stands as one of the most severe attacks in the area since the revocation of Article 370 in 2019.

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis Condemns Pahalgam Terror Attack

The Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis said on the terror attack in Pahalgam on Tuesday on X. The post stated, "I strongly condemn the cowardly terrorist attack in Pahalgam. My heartfelt tributes to the ones who lost their lives. My deepest condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. We stand strongly with the bereaved families. Praying for speedy recovery of the injured ones."

He also added,"We are in touch with the senior officials of the J&K administration. Called and spoke to Kashmir's Divisional Commissioner Vijaykumar Bidari and took detailed info. As per the information received so far, 2 tourists from Maharashtra have lost lives, namely Dilip Disle and Atul Mone. As per the information given by the local administration, 2 persons from Maharashtra are injured in this terrorist attack. One of them is Manik Patel from Panvel and the other is S. Bhalchandra Rao. Fortunately condition of both is stable."
