'APT' Fever Continues! BLACKPINK's Rosé Performs Her Solo Hit Song With Chris Martin At Coldplay Seoul Concert; BLINKs React (Video)

Seoul witnessed a magical music night on April 22 as BLACKPINK's Rosé made a surprise appearance at Coldplay's ongoing 'Music of the Spheres' world tour stop in South Korea. The Goyang Stadium roared with delight as fans were treated to a live rendition of Rosé's smash solo hit 'APT.', performed alongside none other than Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

Rosé made a stunning entrance down the stadium's catwalk, wearing a bejewelled silver jacket. The stadium came alive as she sang the opening lines of APT before handing the microphone to Martin. He effortlessly stepped into the verse that is typically sung by Bruno Mars in the original track.

Originally released in October, APT., along with superstar Bruno Mars, marked a turning point in Rosé's solo career amid BLACKPINK's group hiatus. The song, part of her debut album Rosie, not only soared to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 but also held firm at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 for an impressive 12 weeks. It's become an anthem in its own right — and witnessing it live with Coldplay was the cherry on top.

Fans react

As clips from the performance flooded social media, BLINKs and Coldplay fans alike couldn't contain their emotions. One X user commented, "OMG, Rosé performing with Coldplay!"

Another fan added, "Another rosé successful fangirl full circle moment. went from covering their songs to having coldplay perform her hit song (APT) w/her at their concert in korea not once but twice."

Rosé's journey from singing Coldplay covers as a trainee to commanding the stage with the band themselves has left BLINKs emotional and proud.

"Trying not to cry watching rosé who has been covering coldplay for years be invited to perform her own song with them and for chris to say let’s do this again bc it’s that fun. I’m not crying and not jealous at ALL," a fan expressed.

A stage full of legends: Jin and TWICE's Coldplay moments

Rosé isn’t the only Korean artist to share the Coldplay spotlight recently. Just days before her show-stopping moment, BTS' Jin had a heartfelt reunion with the band after three years. During a touching performance of 'The Astronaut', a song co-written with Coldplay, Jin joined the British icons to also perform their beloved hit My Universe.

And the list doesn’t end there.

TWICE, one of K-pop's most prominent girl groups, also took to the Goyang Stadium stage during Coldplay’s Seoul tour opener on April 16. The members of TWICE delivered a powerful bilingual performance of 'We Pray', a song from Coldplay's chart-topping 2024 album Moon Music.

On April 18, fans were gifted with the official release of 'We Pray – TWICE Version', accompanied by a behind-the-scenes video of the group performing with Chris Martin.
