'Thudarum’ trivia: Jyothika was first considered before Shobana for the Mohanlal starrer

Director Tharun Moorthy disclosed that Jyothika was initially considered for the lead role in 'Thudarum' opposite Mohanlal. Jyothika admired the script but had to decline due to pre-scheduled family travel plans. Ultimately, Shobana was cast, fulfilling the director's vision of reuniting the beloved Mohanlal-Shobana duo after 15 years in a family drama, set to release on April 25, 2025.
