CUET UG 2025 exam to be held from May 8, a detailed schedule is awaited
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate (CUET UG) from May 8 to June 1. The exam will be conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format. This common entrance test is a unified gateway for admissions into various undergraduate programs across central, state and private universities in India.

Eligibility criteria
According to the information bulletin on the official website, candidates should have passed Class 12 or a similar examination from a recognised board to be eligible for CUET UG 2025. There are no specific age limits for CUET 2025, although some universities have age restrictions.
Exam format and structure
CUET UG 2025 will be conducted exclusively in CBT mode, moving away from the previous hybrid format. There will be a 60-minute duration for each subject test, and it is mandatory to answer 50 multiple-choice questions. The candidates can take up to five subjects, comprising domain-specific subjects, one language and the General Test.
Subject offerings and languages
The number of subjects has been reduced from 63 to 37; the admission updates for eliminated subjects depend on the scores of the General Aptitude Test (GAT). The exam will be available in 13 languages – Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. There are 23 domain subjects and a General Aptitude Test.
