Pahalgam Attack Mastermind Saifullah Khalid: Hafiz Saeed's Aide Who Loves Luxury Cars — Know More
Pahalgam Terror Attack Mastermind: Twenty-six people, mostly tourists, were killed in Kashmir's Pahalgam on Tuesday in what is the deadliest attack in the Valley since the Pulwama strike in 2019. Pakistan-based terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba's offshoot, The Resistance Front (TRF), has claimed responsibility for the attack.
The daughter of a Pune businessman, Santosh Jagdale, said the terrorists asked him to come out of a tent and recite an Islamic verse. When he couldn't, they shot him once in the head, then behind the ear and then his back.
Another victim's family recalled that the terrorists blamed them for supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after which they made some statements to deny that Kashmiri militants kill innocent people, women and children.
Reports suggest that the mastermind of the Pahalgam terrorist attack is Lashkar-e-Taiba's deputy chief, Saifullah Khalid, also known as Saifullah Kasuri. Kasuri is considered a close associate of Hafiz Saeed, one of India's most wanted enemies. His name has been associated with several major terror attacks in India. He is known for his love of luxury cars and is often surrounded by heavily armed personnel, reports added.
Where Was Kasuri Before the Pahalgam Attack?
Kasuri holds significant influence in Pakistan. It is also claimed that he frequently incites Pakistani soldiers. About two months before the Pahalgam attack, Saifullah Khalid had arrived in Kanganpur, Pakistan—an area known to host a large battalion of the Pakistani Army.
