Zonal Level Sports meet held

JAMMU, Apr 22: The Inter-School Zonal Level Competitions and Trials for Under-17 and Under-14 boys and girls were held today at Zone Jourian, witnessing enthusiastic participation from students of both Government and private schools.
Organized in line with the Annual Calendar of the Department of Youth Services and Sports, J&K, the event offered young athletes a platform to showcase their talents across various sporting disciplines.
Minister for Youth Services and Sports, Satish Sharma, attended as the chief guest. He congratulated all participants and praised the department and organizing team for executing a well-coordinated event. The Minister emphasized the Government’s commitment to promoting grassroots sports and urged students to pursue excellence with dedication.
The competitions were held under the supervision of Sukhdev Raj Sharma, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Jammu. Umakant, Zonal Physical Education Officer, Jourian, expressed satisfaction with the spirited participation, stressing the department’s aim to expand such initiatives.
Dr. Ashwani Bali, Activity Incharge, Zone Jourian, appreciated the students for their discipline and performances, and thanked the officials and staff for their support.
