6 booked for illegal mining in Uttar Pradesh

The Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh) district administration has got an FIR registered against six persons of Yamunanagar district for allegedly carrying out illegal mining.

On the complaint of Mining Inspector Abhilash Chaubey, a case was registered against Sher Singh, Kala, Shahjad, Sachin, Sonu and Papu, and some unknown persons at Behat police station.

The complainant told the police that the Saharanpur administration received information on April 17 that some people belonging to Haryana were carrying out illegal mining in the Yamuna at Dhaulra and Alamgirpur villages.

When a team of the administration reached the areas, the accused fled in their earth-moving machines, tippers and tractor-trailers.
