Girl held for posing as ASI in Kurukshetra police, sent to jail
The Kurukshetra police have arrested a girl for allegedly posing as an Assistant Sub-Inspector in the police.
The girl was identified as Anchal, a resident of Kurukshetra. She was produced before a court, which sent her to jail. The Kurukshetra police spokesman said “A missing complaint related to a girl was registered at Pehowa Sadar police station and during investigation, the police came to know about a friend (Anchal) of the missing girl, who claimed herself to be working in police. The mother of the missing girl had stated that her daughter had gone with Anchal, who claimed to be in Kurukshetra police, on April 19 but didn’t return. The investigating officer contacted the girl and during questioning she claimed that she had dropped the girl to a boutique and later went on her duty at Kurukshetra University police station.” “However, during verification of her claims, the investigating officer found her claims to be false as no such girl was posted at the Kurukshetra University police station. She was arrested and the police have recovered two dresses. She was sent to jail. She used to create videos and post pictures in a police uniform. Meanwhile, the missing girl was recovered from Ambala and handed over to her family”, the police spokesman said.
SHO Sadar Pehowa police station Jagdish Kumar said “Just to create an impression on the people that she works in the Police Department, the girl used to post her pictures and videos in uniform. She was arrested and sent to jail. No other complaint has been received against her.”
